Fistful of Flowers is Momento Mori doing what they do best - natural winemaking with no shortcuts. This is a blend of Moscato Giallo and Vermentino, sourced from the Chalmers vineyards in Heathcote and Merbein. The 2023 season was long and cool, with plenty of rain keeping the fruit fresh and vibrant. Picked early for lower alcohol (just 10.5%), this is a wine that’s all about energy, texture, and character.
It opens with a burst of florals, stone fruits, and lemon zest, but the palate brings a salty, steely edge that keeps things tight and fresh. There’s a cool, citrusy line running through it, giving the wine a sense of tension and vibrancy. It’s light, bright, and built for drinking.
Like all Momento Mori wines, it’s made with a strict hands-off approach - no additions, no SO2, and nothing to get in the way of the fruit’s natural expression. Small batch, pure, and packed with personality.
