If you’re after a Riesling that delivers pure class without the pomp, the 2024 Freya from Sons of Eden is your next obsession. Sourced from three hand-picked Eden Valley vineyards, this wine is all about precision and flavour.
The vines, some over 60 years old, produced pristine fruit that’s been turned into a Riesling brimming with bright citrus-lime, a hint of elderflower, and a dash of spice.
It's light, crisp, and beautifully balanced, with a line of acidity that keeps things fresh and vibrant. The extended time on lees adds a subtle texture that rounds out the palate, making it more than just a pretty face—there's substance here too.
Pop it open now and enjoy its zippy freshness, or let it evolve in the cellar. Either way, this is a wine that's going to make you rethink what Eden Valley Riesling can deliver at this level. It’s serious value for a seriously good drop.

"I've written before how I like the 2024 Eden Valley rieslings. They are perhaps not as aromatically punchy as the norm but they are stony-pure with that familiar Christmas lily volume just turned down a notch. But that focused line, eh?! The Freya here is a beauty, all velocity and limey precision and I am here for it. A cracker."
