Amber Ochota is passionate about Pinot, and this is another excellent release of 'A Forest'.
The 2024 A Forest Pinot Noir feels like a walk through the Hills at dawn—textural, earthy, and alive with possibility. Sourced from the loving named 'Taras Vineyard' (named by Harry Scanlon, a friend who once upon a time worked for Ochota Barrels) and Sam Virgara’s site in the Piccadilly Valley, it’s a wine of connection, crafted with Amber’s light touch.
We were captivated by its delicate balance of flavours. It's one of the prettiest vintages of this wine we've tasted. There’s also a quiet rusticity here, supported by soft, powdery tannins and a fresh, textural energy that keeps you coming back for more.
This Pinot is a tribute to place and craft—a wine to savour over a long, thoughtful meal. This is an untamed, alluring Pinot full of complexity and intrigue. Not your typical Hills Pinot and absolutely worth trying!

"A vibrant, fresh and savory pinot that is light in color, giving aromas of dark cherries, potpourri, crushed strawberries and cassia bark. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy tannins and a creamy texture, showing notes of cranberries, orange peel and forest floor. Very well constructed with a high drinkability factor. Drink or hold. Screw cap."
