It's absolutely a light and delicate Pinot Noir, but don't be fooled. There is much more here than meets the eye, as it were.
The fruit was fermented and matured in a combination of large and small format neutral oak for nine months to ensure that the fruit was the highlight of the wine.
But, given that Pinot is a mysterious little thing, there are some savoury spices coming through, some fresh greenery and delicate tannins. It's a friendly Pinot, which is designed to be equal parts friendly and proper.
