2023 Salvard Val de Loire Sauvignon Blanc

Old vine Sauvignon Blanc from Cheverny near the banks of the mighty Loire. With honeydew melon and tangy citrus flavours, this a riper Sauvignon than the region normally produces, making it super-attractive at first sniff.

There is no oak involved but plenty of lees-stirring and time in bottle pre-release, so there is also texture and length.

A superb all-round people pleaser.
