Patrick's Chardonnay comes from the volcanic soils of his Bull Swamp vineyard in the foothills of the Strezleki ranges, just south of Mount Baw Baw.
As with all of Patrick's wines, the vineyard is organically farmed and the winemaking strictly minimal intervention.
The resulting wine is a cracker. Crisp and pure with citrussy backbone, but with oodles of texture and toast and the slightest hint of salty oxidation.
Serious Chardonnay from one of Victoria's Chardy specialists. Don't hesitate.

"A slight gold hue, yet bright. An unusual offering this vintage with full-on flavours and yet it’s not unwieldy. Let this breathe and open up, then expect quince paste, lime marmalade, saffron-infused peaches and creamed honey lees. Plenty of perky acidity, a light phenolic tug; the palate is textural and luscious, a little juicy, too. Intriguing wine and I like it a lot."
