2022 Vino Volta Methode Ancestrale Grenache

The two great varietal interests for Garth and Kirsten at Vino Volta are Chenin Blanc and Grenache. So, they make a Pet Nat of both. Why not, eh?

This is legit. It's fruit from a 30-year-old vineyard with the fruit picked specifically to make Pet Nat.

The juice is bright pink, it almost looks as if there's an electric charge pulsating in the glass.

Who would have thought such a vibrant expression of this in vogue wine style would come from a winemaker who has spent the last decade at a WA wine institution like Houghton? It just goes to show, if you've got the love and passion there and an adventuring spirit, cool new things can happen.
