Woof. The new team at Pyramid Valley continue to work wonders with the Weersing's pioneering organic vineyards - the new releases of the Botanical Series are exceptional but very limited.
Field of Fire Chardonnay is powerfully driven and crunchy, brimming with life and minerality. Orchard fruit, pebble dust, tight acidity and long finish that is restrained for the present.
Wild fermented, rested on lees for 17 months in old French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered.

“Expansive, succulent white of depth and concentration with pretty lift and complexity... It’s such a chilled-out white, but so much is going on. And gosh it drinks beautifully.”

“Plenty of depth and flow on the palate but there's a real sense of sapidity and mouth-watering mineral drive, finishing chalky and uber pure.”

“If the Field of Fire were a person, it wouldn't suffer fools gladly... However, its quality is not in its flavors but its texture and power. Where I'm from, we say, 'Shy brains got nowt' and this isn't shy.”
