You don't usually associate great Chardonnay makers with winemakers of the Barossa Valley, however, British-born artisan, Michael Hall bucks the trend.
His fruit source is all important. He heads to the heartland of premium Chardonnay fruit from the Adelaide Hills, the Piccadilly Valley, for his top release. A small block of Chardonnay nestled against My Lofty managed by Bernie and Sandy Swaby, supplies the fruit.
It's a full-bodied, elegant Chardonnay that shows a depth of white stonefruit, a hint of grapefruit and perfectly judged spicy oak.

"A classy, mid-weighted chardonnay of exactitude, intensity and poise. Salty and long."
