This is an adventure into skin contact land for Yass winemaker, Sam Leyshon.
Sam takes the body and texture of Chardonnay, ramps up the mouthfeel with an extended period on skins and adds Fiano and a splash of Semillon and White Muscat for an added punch of peachy, gingery fruit.
This is a big, bold, bombastic amber wine, flush with loads of dried stonefruit and a golden, sunshine-in-a-glass feel.
It's a wicked drink. No shrinking violet. Another fun release from this rogue NSW producer.
