2021 Wheeler Willowlake Yarra Valley Pinot Noir

For young winemaker Dale Wheeler, an exploration of great sites around the Yarra Valley and greater Victoria continues to unfold very nicely, with each vintage his wines becoming more and more refined.

This is his take on the much-loved Pinot Noir fruit from the Willowlake vineyard in the Upper Yarra. Plenty of great winemakers have put their spin on this fruit, and Dale's is a slightly divergent offering.

It's juicy, filled with squishy red strawberry, some amaro-like notes and a distinct spicy character through the finish. A lovely Pinot from a label to watch.
