The formidable powers of Riesling from all corners of Tasmania are put to good and fascinating use here. And, of course, it just wouldn't be a Dr. Edge wine without a little funk... And funk, it has...
It's an equal blend of Pete Dredge's North, South and East Rieslings, bottled unfiltered with some residual sugar.
A whopping nine months on lees and a little lazy time in some old barrels has put some weight on the skeletal Tassie Riesling frame. Yes, there are all the classic steel and citrus notes, but there's an extra layer of savouriness in this wine takes it to a transcendently weird level.
As always with the wines of the good Doctor, there aren't many bottles around. Grab one while you can.

"Green apple, lemon squash, chamomile, ginger, something just a little stony/earthy. It’s juicy, again the lemon squash thing as a distinct flavour, plenty of powdered rock to texture a slight quinine bite on a finish of excellent length. Very good, and as ever, an interesting style of Riesling offering a point of difference."
