Gentle winemaking is the hallmark of Natallie Johnston, one of the most exciting young producers to come out of a place that just keeps on introducing us to exciting talent; the Yarra Valley.
From the northern part of the valley comes this lovely balanced Chardonnay. A thoughtful wine, some native ferments, some inoculation, bit of old oak, bit of new oak. Tillie had a clear idea of what she wanted to craft with this wine, while at the same time letting the fruit speak.
Crisp, spicy, nutty and savoury, this is a really interesting and delicious wine, which ticks a lot of boxes.

"This is both delicate and complex with its aromas of pear skin, pink grapefruit and subtle marine scents. There's more mid-palate intensity than last year's version, and I like the touch of grip on the balanced and long finale."
