Established in 2018 by Ben Mullen and Ben Hine, Mulline Vintners is kicking serious goals, with globally-experienced winemaker Ben Mullen crafting wines that truly reflect their various Geelong origins.
This Syrah is a single-vineyard gem from the Barrabool Hills, planted in 1999. Co-fermented with a touch of Marsanne (just 2%), aged in 25% new French oak, and featuring 25% whole bunches, it showcases meticulous winemaking.
it's very much a cool-climate 'Syrah' style, with notes of purple fruits, olive tapenade, pink peppercorns, and bright florals. The medium-bodied palate is supple yet structured, with silky, long-chained tannins.
Mulline’s 2023 Barrabool Syrah is simply a beautifully crafted wine, balancing the finesse and expressive character that the Mulline wines are quickly becoming known for.

"A beautifully crafted Geelong syrah with its expressive bouquet of purple fruits, olive tapenade, pink peppercorns and bright florals. Just as good on the medium-bodied, supple yet focused and structured palate. Silky, long-chained tannins round out a complete and lovely wine."
