Jauma’s Like Rain Drops is a joyous and vibrant Grenache, showcasing James Erskine’s mastery of natural winemaking. The majority of the fruit hails from the Ryan Road Vineyard, a 44-year-old site managed by the skilled Dave Gartlemann. Planted in silty sand over red clay with schist and ironstone, this vineyard brings incredible mineral depth to the wine. Complementary fruit from the Lilies and Wood vineyards adds complexity. All fruit is destemmed and undergoes a month-long skin maceration before aging in a mix of stainless steel (80%) and seasoned French oak (20%) for 11 months.
