The 2022 Trahere Chardonnay is a new step forward for Ten Minutes by Tractor, bringing together the best parcels from the Spedding vineyard to create a Chardonnay that’s all about precision and purity. Named after the Latin word for "to pull," Trahere reflects owner Martin Spedding’s passion for progress - both in the vineyard and in the glass.

Hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed, and fermented in seasoned oak, this wine is all about balance. There’s depth and power, but everything is kept tight and focused by a mineral core and fresh acidity. It’s elegant, finely structured, and built to age, though it’s already showing plenty of character now.

With meticulous farming and a commitment to sustainability, Ten Minutes by Tractor continues to raise the bar for Mornington Peninsula Chardonnay. This second release of Trahere gives a glimpse into the future of their high-density vineyard project - and it’s looking bright.

97 points
"The bouquet is a mix of smoky, toasty barrel and white peach, lightly toasted nuts, and a faint hint of spice, while the palate is tremendously refined and intense, long and driving, precise and compact with wonderful line and length. A Chardonnay of great finesse and poise."
- Huon Hooke (The Real Review)

97 points
"A poised, assured wine of subtle power. Beeswax, creamed honey, dry white flowers, nutty nougat, a soft, saline minerality. Curvaceous but contained, its upfront fleshiness tightened and coiled through the palate. This is Chardonnay at its seductive best."
- Nick Ryan (The Australian)
