Sauvignon Blanc can offer a lot more interest than it often receives credit for, and this one from Carla and Ashton at Edan Wines proves that to a tee.
A third of the grapes see time on skins for 39 days, while the rest of the fruit gets pressed to a mix of Austrian oak barrels and stainless steel. The combining of these techniques really gives the final product some oomph - texture, saline notes, mangoes and a little nuttiness.
At this price point, this is really awesome and interesting drinking from this NSW couple.
