2022 A.Rodda Cuvee de Chais

Loosely translating to Cellar Blend, Cuvee de Chais is Adrian's interpretation of a traditional Bordeaux blend.

We see a combination of 5 varieties in this wine, shown off with great finesse. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure; Merlot & Cabernet Franc provides red fruit flavours and savouriness, a little splash of Petit Verdot adds acidity and a tiny hint of Malbec gives a dark roundness to the finish.

Built around balance, not out-and-out power, there is some clear craftsmanship shown in this great release.
