The Little Giant Shiraz might be inspired by the southern hairy-nose wombat – small, sturdy, and a South Australian icon – but there’s nothing small about the flavour packed into this bottle. Made from premium Barossa and Eden Valley fruit, this Shiraz punches well above its weight, delivering a rich, juicy wine that’s ready to drink now.
The focus here is all about letting the fruit shine. Picked at peak ripeness, the fruit is fermented in stainless steel and then aged for nine months in large, seasoned French and American oak barrels. The final result is a Shiraz that’s fresh, elegant, and just a little bit indulgent.
2022 was a stellar year for Barossa Shiraz. A long, cool ripening season gave the grapes plenty of time to develop deep colour and flavour, while the addition of Eden Valley fruit brings a welcome touch of freshness and aromatic lift. Think dark berries, a touch of spice, and a soft, plummy finish.
It's another straight-up bargain from this much-loved label.
