The Clos de la Bonnette Damas Pourpre (meaning "crimson damask", a type of fabric) comes from a 0.4ha parcel planted in the 1990s in the Coteau de Tupin vineyard in Ampuis, situated near the town of Vienne.
Following fermentation with natural yeasts, the wine is matured in five-year-old casks for 22 months. It is full of dark and red fruit aromas which carry onto the palate, as well as spice. The silky texture and long finish result in a truly delightful wine.
