Description
This is an outstanding Geelong Pinot Noir from Mulline Vintners, and specifically the talent of ex-Clyde Park winemaker, Ben Mullen.
The source is the Leech vineyard in Drysdale, out on the cooler Bellarine Peninsula. It's all the complex MV6 clone, just two barrels made.
Beautifully textured, with some sweet/ sour complexity to the fruit profile, with red berries partnering up with some wood spices. Watch out for these guys.

"A bright, quite deep crimson. Quite a step up on last year's still very good wine. Darkly fruited with black raspberries, morello cherries, dark rose and some spice. This is simultaneously mouth-filling, fleshy and structured, with velvety, long-chained tannins."

"There’s a lovely ferrous sensibility, too, adding interest along with some leafy autumnal notes. Some further time in the glass reveals dark cherry and further earth and forest floor notes. The palate has an open-knit feel, though with ample tension... With air, this all comes together so beautifully, making for a balanced, complex, and savoury Pinot Noir."
