The Beurrot Pinot Gris from Kooyong in Mornington Peninsula is widely regarded as one of Australia’s finest, known for its exceptional quality and value. Mornington Peninsula is arguably Australia's premier region for 'serious' Pinot Gris, and the fruit for Beurrot is sourced from two specific blocks, with meticulous and patient winemaking bringing forward a rich, stonefruit, and pear-laden experience.
On the nose, it bursts with pear aromatics—both flesh and skin—complemented by freshly picked spice, florals, and subtle flint notes. The palate is bright and fresh, featuring flavors of pear, green apple, and a hint of grapefruit. Barrel fermentation and ten months on lees contribute a creamy midpalate sweetness and added texture, balanced by a bright acidity that drives the wine to a clean finish.

"A never-fail rendition of pinot gris although quite a tight, restrained style this vintage. Plenty of poached, candied and fresh pears all spiced up with ginger and cinnamon. A fine layer of lees adding to some palate weight and a light phenolic pull on the finish. Savoury, moreish and refreshing. Lovely drinking here."
