Falerio is a DOC in the Marche region made from three authorised white grapes, the principal ones being Trebbiano and Pecorino.
The Ciu Ciu Falerio Bianco is a blend made from all the white grapes grown on the Ciu Ciu estate, including the very rare Passerina, which is found mainly in the Marche region. Despite the tasty name, Pecorino appears only linked to the cheese of the same name due to sheep liking to munch on Pecorino grapes.
This is a wine that screams "Drink me now!". It has beautiful aromas of lychee, peach and honeysuckle, and is surprisingly medium bodied, so it has some nice weight on the palate. It would go perfectly with any kind of seafood or light pasta dish.
