Best's Great Western is one of the country's oldest wineries, but they continue to innovate and evolve.
Their Bin 1 Shiraz is the ultimate introduction to their famous style. Not sure whether the term 'introduction' befits a previous Jimmy Watson winner, but that just goes to demonstrate the value available here.
There aren't many better and more qualified Shiraz on the market than the Best's Bin 1 - class and value both high in this release.

"Black pepper and peppercorn characters float through cherry and plum fruit. Lively with depth and fine-grained, savoury tannins. A charming release for fans of the Great Western style. Drink by 2033."

"Cool-climate expression with mace, clove, blue fruits, olive, and umami warmth. Tannins and acidity offer tension, with a menthol-dried finish. A wine of immense personality and soul. Drink or hold."

"Peppery and complex with spicy, dried-herb notes and grape stem influence. Medium-full bodied with chewy texture and earthy tannins. An elegant Shiraz with good potential and value."
